这张2001年出品的《Unearthed
出土》浑身上下散出绝对的神秘与激情。它融合了史诗音乐的大气磅礴，古典音乐的细腻优美和电子音乐的神秘前卫，甚至还有新浪潮音乐的清新缥缈，在乐坛取得了相当不错的成绩。此专辑共十三首曲，每一首均以一古老城市或远古文明命名。另外，这张《Unearthed
出土》近年来也一再受到好莱坞大牌音乐人的钟爱与肯定，热衷美片的人不难发现《后天》、《哈里波特》、《人猿星球》、《黑客帝国》第三部、《未来派报告》、《出轨》等N多电影的预告片都先后引用它的部分曲子作为背景音乐；《蜘蛛侠》、《加勒比海盗》等都将《Unearthed
出土》中的音乐收录至OST中；CBS剧集《Cold Case》也选中了第六首《Nara》作为片头曲。
Unearthed有13首曲子，每一首都是以一个古老的城市或古文明为名 — 例如上面提到的Nara就是日本奈良 —
不过它并不像标题音乐，如果想从曲名听到一些民俗音乐，可能会有点失望。唯一比较明显的大概就是第四首的Ulaid(是居住在北爱尔兰的Ulster
(乌尔斯特)一个古老族群)，这首乐曲在风笛的引领下，有著浓厚的Celtics风格。
总而言之是要将这个乐团归类并不容易。它巧妙地混合了管弦乐团、人声、金属乐及吉他、风笛。交响乐部份带点後浪漫乐派的色彩，人声的运用则有如波澜壮阔的史诗
(第五首: Elba) 或庄严的圣咏 (第十一首: Estremoz)，你可以说它的汤头是古典乐，在重金属的调味後，散发出New
Age的幽香。
E.S. Posthumus 的 Cartographer 2CD 也已经当下来，不过好像更加偏于悠长曼妙，而非气魄雄浑。还没叫
kid 喜欢的那么厉害。 所以等大家的意见再看看是否共享。
这绝对是一张经典的专集！你决不能错过的精品！那恢弘震撼的气势和汹涌澎湃的音潮让你欲罢不能。而且更重要的是这是一张绝版呢。
